A Group of 6 Holidaymakers Receive £15,000 Compensation following their stay at Jaz Aquamarine, Hurghada

Holiday Claims Bureau’s clients all booked a holiday with TUI at various times to stay at the Jaz Aquamarine hotel in Hurghada, Egypt.

During their holiday, our clients all suffered symptoms of food poisoning which included one child being diagnosed with salmonella. The illness ruined our client’s enjoyment of their holidays. Consequently, our clients instructed Holiday Claims Bureau to make a claim for compensation against TUI after making an enquiry through our website.

What Was Wrong at the Hotel?

Our clients only ate in the all-inclusive hotel restaurants. They found that the food was often left out for long periods of time and was often not fully cooked. During our investigations, we were able to obtain a hotel audit which raised major failings in personal hygiene facilities in areas of the hotel associated with the handling of food. This increased the potential for cross contamination of food.

70 reports of illnesses

We also established that there were over 70 reports of illness at the hotel between May and August. TUI denied liability for the illness throughout the length of the case. The team at the Holiday Claims Bureau obtained all the relevant disclosure from the hotel and obtained the necessary evidence to support our client’s cases by way of medical and microbiological evidence.

If you have suffered a similar fate, we invite you to get in touch with us so we can assess your holiday illness claim. Our specialist solicitors are waiting for your call. Contact us at 01618132131, or if you are ready to initiate your claim right away, use our online claim form.

Client’s receive £15,000 compensation

Following negotiations, the legal team at Holiday Claims Bureau were able to secure a settlement of over £15,000 for our client’s. One client said: “We could not have recovered this compensation without the Holiday Claims Bureau. TUI made it very difficult and I was delighted with the outcome”.

Michael Walker, Partner representing the group of holidaymakers added: “Our clients were looking forward to their holidays, but these were ruined when they became ill. TUI were aware that large numbers of holidaymakers were falling ill at this hotel and yet failed to inform our clients before they travelled. I am delighted to be able to help secure them the compensation they deserve”.

Our clients were all very happy with the successful result and the service provided by the Holiday Claims Bureau. This was all covered by a No Win, No Fee Agreement.
