BREAKING: Alleged Intestinal Bugs and Food Poisoning contracted at Jaz Aquamarine, Hurghada
A British couple who stayed at the Jaz Aquamarine, amongst others, have sought the legal advice and help from our holiday illness experts following their stay at the Jaz Aquamarine hotel in Hurghada, Egypt.
On their second day of their stay, the couple began to suffer symptoms of food poisoning and were confined to their rooms, bedbound.
During this time, the water in the hotel was also switched off and the only access to water and toilet facilities was the hotels public toilets.
After several days, the couple continued to remain unwell and since had to receive medical treatment on their return to the UK. It is believed many others during their stay in August 2018 have also been affected due to the poor food and hygiene failings in the resort, namely undercooked and reheated food.
Intestinal bugs
A gentleman named Peter, travelled to the Jaz Aquamarine hotel with his wife in June this year. On TripAdvisor, he amongst many warned holidaymakers about the conditions in the hotel stating they are “Unhygienic and Dirty” after his wife was hospitalised during their stay.
Peter said: “We are currently in dispute with TUI, following 4 days of involuntary diarrhoea illness at the Jaz Aquamarine.
“Having been so ill, I was disappointed with the attitude of the hotel reception when requesting late checkout, as my wife was finishing her second session of intravenous medicines to counter the intestinal bugs”
