Family Contracts Cryptosporidium at Mayfair Hotel in Paphos
A family of four who recently stayed at Mayfair Hotel, a 4-star all-inclusive package holiday resort in Paphos, Cyprus, have taken legal action after receiving medical confirmation of their Cryptosporidium infection.
Holiday Claims Bureau Instructed
According to Michael Walker, Partner and solicitor at Holiday Claims Bureau, “The symptoms of Cryptosporidium can be severe and have long-lasting effects, often requiring hospital treatment. We urge anyone who has fallen ill during their stay at Mayfair Hotel to seek medical attention, as it is always worth visiting a local GP to ensure their well-being.”
Mr Walker explains that Holiday Claims Bureau deal with numerous cases of holiday illnesses each year, particularly during the Summer months. He added, “Many clients we have represented have received substantial compensation after suffering illnesses and injuries due to the negligence of package holiday resorts. This can be attributed to poor food and hygiene standards or substandard health and safety regulations.”
The family’s decision to pursue legal action underscores the seriousness of the situation, shedding light on the potential risks associated with all-inclusive package holiday resorts.
